My Bio
I'm almost 35, holy shit, when did that happen?

I'm kind of a geek, I'm married and a mom and super queer.

I tend to gravitate either to the super-mega popular ships (i.e., Destiel, Johnlock) or ships that literally one person cares about (i.e., Bob Belcher/Jimmy Pesto from Bob's Burger's, THE HATE SEX WOULD BE AWESOME (PS: Linda is super supportive, because Linda is wonderful and Bob would never go behind her back)).

I like kitschy art work and animation, so when I do draw, it tends to be in animated fandoms (i.e., Adventure Time, Steven Universe, Bob's Burgers).

I tend to get randomly obsessed (like, HARDCORE OBSESSED) with sort of non-typical media - like, I think people have gotten used to seeing hardcore Doctor Who or SPN fans, but I'm a HARDCORE Bob's Burger's fan, Community fan, Steven Universe fan, etc.

I also love and miss Invader Zim and I'm psyched for the TV movie.

I honestly can't draw, but I have fun trying.

SO I SAID IN MY OLD BIO THAT I TENDED TO CYCLE THROUGH HOBBIES AND DON'T BE SURPRISED IF THERE WERE LITERAL YEARS BETWEEN POSTINGS SO, HI GUYS, THREE-AND-A-HALF YEARS LATER Dude, in the interim, I bought a house, and had a baby (!!!) and didn't fucking draw at fuckin' all. So I probably still suck, but I'm also ready to share my suckage with people again.  Woo.

Between work, running a household, my return to writing (60k words since November 1st!), handmaking all my Christmas gifts (weaving bracelets, crafting porcelain roses, clockmaking, soap making, etc.), I've just... put drawing on the backburner.  I'm trying to stay more involved in all of my hobbies in the upcoming New Year, which means staying engaged with drawing as well. Anyone have any requests/suggestions for Adventure Time art?  Can be true AT art (AT characters, siutations, etc.), or other art in the AT style.  I'll see what I can do. Anyone?

I'm using GIMP and drawing Adventure Time fanart.  I don't want to over think this or over complicate it, but what would be the best way to add depth and shaodw and texture yada yada to my drawing?  I'm drawing a nightime scene with Finn and Marceline, I want it to mimic moonlight, and I'm not sure what the best way to go about that would be.  Do I add a lighting effect, or do I texturize by adding color to mimic shadow?
